2024 INITIATIVE

As the festive season approaches, the Wongan Hills Therapy Group is excited to announce a new local initiative – the "Wongan-Ballidu Adopt a Wish Project”, is dedicated to ensuring that every child in our shire feels the joy of Christmas morning by connecting to the heart of our community through gift-giving. This unique project aims to bring cheer and holiday magic to families who might otherwise go without this Christmas.

By allowing community members to fulfill a child's expressed wish, we create a personal connection and a sense of solidarity across socio-economic boundaries. Importantly, all identities of both gift-givers (adopters) and gift recipients will be kept strictly anonymous, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for everyone involved.

How To Register
a Wishlist

Registrations are open from

Monday the 25th of November to Wednesday the 4th of December (10 Days).

During this window, families in need can register their child/ren's wish via our easy-to-navigate ONLINE FORM HERE or by visiting our office, where our team will assist in completing the registration process.

GIFT PRICE GUIDELINE

Please ensure that the wishlist items you submit cost no more than $25.00 EACH. This helps to ensure that there is enough to accommodate everyone's wish.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Please be assured that all personal details such as names, addresses and contact info will be kept completely anonymous across the project.

How To Adopt a Wish

The Wishlist Adoption Platform will be open from Sunday the 1st of December to Sunday the 15th of December (15 Days).

A catalog of children's wish lists will go live on December 1st. Each wish item requested will not exceed $25, making it feasible for all community members to participate and spread joy.

PLEASE NOTE - After selecting an item from the wish list catalog, it is the adopter’s responsibility to purchase their chosen gift from the stores listed under the item or from a store of their own choice.

Drop Off &
Gift Wrapping

GIFT DROP OFFS (For Adopters)

Gifts must be delivered to Wongan Hills Therapy Group (see address and operating hours below) by DECEMBER 20th.

GIFT WRAPPING

Adopters may choose to personally wrap the gifts they purchase. Alternatively, there will be an option for WHTG to wrap the gifts for a modest gold coin donation.

GIFT DELIVERY & DISTRIBUTION TO CHILDREN

To accommodate all participants, options for both pickup and delivery will be available, ensuring convenience for everyone involved.

Gifts will be packaged in a simple and discreet brown paper bag.
